Monday Mantra | Give Yourself Space

Happy Monday and happy first day of May! I hope the start of your week is a lovely one, and this new month is filled with happiness and love. Today’s Monday Mantra is, Give yourself space.

If you’re anything like me, you often find yourself running from one thing to the next without a moment to simply catch your breath. As you find yourself in this overcommitted, rushed state, you wonder how you ended up there yet again. What I’ve started to see more clearly is when I dream up a new idea or a new opportunity arises, I tend to get overexcited and am eager to jump right in full steam ahead. And while there’s nothing inherently wrong with this, I’ve found that it often leads to having far too much on my plate and being stretched so thin that I can’t devote all of myself to any one thing. So, I’ve recently been giving myself some space, allowing time to just be with an idea or opportunity. This has allowed me to truly consider all angles of what is in front of me and to be more intentional in all that I do. In letting things settle, I’m also finding that I can devote more of myself to all that I choose to pursue, while still maintaining my own wellbeing. As you move into this new month- a blank slate for new goals and ambitions- maybe you can provide yourself some space to just be. You may just find it opens you up to so much more.
